Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor: More Bodies Discovered in Gaza's Al-Shifa Hospital, Alleges Massacre by Israeli Forces

Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor reports the discovery of additional decomposed bodies within Gaza's Al-Shifa Hospital, amidst efforts to retrieve victims from what they describe as one of Israel's largest massacres against Palestinians.

According to Ramy Abdu, founder and chairman of the organization, ongoing operations to uncover bodies continue at Al-Shifa Hospital following the Israeli army's actions. Abdu shared a "shocking" video on social media depicting rescue teams, civil defense personnel, and forensic experts locating more decomposed bodies.

Describing the situation as potentially one of Israel's most significant massacres against Palestinians in history, Abdu emphasized the validation of Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor's findings regarding field executions by Israeli forces during the recent assault on Al-Shifa.

Abdu's statements underscore the gruesome aftermath witnessed at the hospital, revealing numerous victims, including doctors, nurses, displaced individuals, and children. He alleges that dozens of bodies were subjected to field executions, with Israeli forces reportedly placing them in pits they had dug.

The assault on Al-Shifa Hospital began on March 18, with Israeli forces launching attacks and imposing a two-week siege. Despite the withdrawal of Israeli tanks and vehicles on April 1, the aftermath revealed a devastating scene, with numerous decomposed bodies found on the premises.

Al-Shifa Hospital, Gaza's largest medical facility, has been a refuge for thousands of Palestinians fleeing violence. However, the Israeli military has accused the Palestinian resistance group Hamas of utilizing the hospital for alleged terrorist activities, an allegation Hamas vehemently denies.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, including the recent assault on Gaza, has led to a significant loss of life and widespread destruction. As international organizations raise concerns about human rights violations and the humanitarian crisis in the region, the situation remains dire for civilians caught in the crossfire.
